Here at Backbone Studio, we have just about any tracking environment you’ll want, need or desire.  Our large Studio B is ideal for capturing the large drum sound as well as the “live” sound for your band.  The hardwood floors, stage curtains and mobile gobos create a flexible acoustical environment for every situation.  Studio A is ideal for a more controlled environment and Studio C is the comfortable living room approach to recording.  We also have great sounding bathrooms to record your instrument if you prefer that route.

Combine the professionally tuned rooms with the largest mic collection in Colorado, matched with the plethora of colors in pre-amplifiers, and the sound is unmatched.  At Backbone Studio, we believe in quality and integrity of sound.  We also believe in getting the right sound at the beginning.  That means using the right microphone in the right position matched with the right pre-amplifier.  

If more processing is needed, we have top-of-the-line analog outboard EQ’s and compressors both vintage and modern.

To maintain the integrity of the sound, we have the highest of quality in digital convertors.  Depending on genre, we can use the Apogee AD-16X’s or the Digidesign 192 I/O.  All converters are clocked by Antelope Master Clock with 9 samples of drift over 10 years!  At the end of the tracking chain is a Pro Tools|HD system as the multi-track recorder.
